Wawa incident leads to arrest of wanted Fredericksburg woman

Wanted driver arrested for DUI after Wawa incident in Stafford County

Stafford, VA — A report of an intoxicated driver at a local Wawa led to the arrest of a woman who was also wanted on outstanding warrants, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 8:28 p.m. April 21 at a Wawa on Warrenton Road, where a deputy responded to reports of a suspected impaired driver.

During the investigation, the suspect was identified as 51-year-old Kimberly Beaty of Fredericksburg. Authorities determined she was wanted out of Fredericksburg prior to the traffic stop.

Deputies said Beaty showed signs of impairment, including glassy eyes, slurred speech, lack of balance, and the odor of alcohol. Field sobriety tests were conducted, after which she was taken into custody.

Beaty has been charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license, driving with a revoked license, and driving with an expired inspection. She was also served on her outstanding warrants.

She is being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
