Police say the arrest stems from an incident reported on one of the village’s main streets
WELLSVILLE, N.Y. — A Wellsville man was taken into custody and transported to jail after police investigated a reported incident on East Genesee Street that resulted in a harassment charge.
The Wellsville Police Department announced the arrest of Donald G. Williams Jr., 37, of Wellsville on Saturday.
According to police, Williams was charged with second-degree harassment, a violation under New York law.
Authorities said the charge stems from an incident that occurred on East Genesee Street.
Police processed Williams before transporting him to the Allegany County Jail, where he was held pending arraignment in CAP Court.
Williams is also scheduled to appear in Wellsville Village Court at a later date.
The charge is an allegation, and Williams is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
