Wilkes-Barre man says ex stabbed him before—and almost again

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A verbal argument over loud music escalated into a knife threat early Saturday morning, leading to the arrest of a 38-year-old woman in Wilkes-Barre.

Just after 1 a.m., officers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Saint Clair Street. Upon arrival, they spoke with a 48-year-old male victim who claimed that Dakeisha McMorris, 38, had threatened him with a knife during an argument about his stereo volume.

The victim told officers that McMorris approached him with a knife and threatened to stab him. He stated that he feared for his safety, citing a previous incident in which she had stabbed him.

Police arrested McMorris at the scene and transported her to City Headquarters for processing and arraignment. She faces charges of terroristic threats and assault.

The incident remains under investigation. No injuries were reported during the encounter.
