Winning lottery ticket sold at smoke shop in Massapequa

Massapequa, NY — A TAKE 5 lottery player is holding a ticket worth $17,175.50 after hitting the top prize in Sunday’s midday drawing, with the winning ticket sold at a local smoke shop in Nassau County.

The prize-winning ticket was purchased at KPPS Smoke & Card Store, located at 27 Hicksville Road in Massapequa, according to New York Lottery officials. The ticket matched all five numbers drawn on May 18 during the 2:30 p.m. midday draw.

TAKE 5 drawings are held twice daily, once at 2:30 p.m. and again at 10:30 p.m., with players selecting five numbers from a pool of one through 39. The top prize varies based on the number of winning tickets and players participating.

Winners have up to one year from the date of the draw to claim their prize. Prizes can be redeemed through New York Lottery Customer Service Centers or by mail with the proper documentation.
