MCKEES ROCKS, PA – Allegheny County homicide detectives are investigating a shooting Sunday morning that left a woman hospitalized in critical but stable condition, authorities said.

Police said County 9-1-1 received a call at 11:07 a.m. reporting that a woman had been shot in the 100 block of Jane Street. Responding officers found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound before she was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit have taken over the investigation and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No arrests or suspect descriptions have been released at this time.
