PRINCE FREDERICK, MD – A shopper got her lost wallet back after leaving it inside a Ross Dress for Less dressing room in Prince Frederick, only to discover that approximately $400 in cash had disappeared before the wallet was returned.
The incident was reported Aug. 25 at Ross Dress for Less, located at 835 North Solomons Island Road.
The victim told the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office that she had left her wallet in a dressing room.
She later learned that an unidentified person had found the wallet and turned it over to store employees.
When the woman retrieved it, she discovered approximately $400 in cash was missing, according to the sheriff’s office.
The department did not identify the person who returned the wallet or state whether investigators determined who allegedly removed the money.
No arrest was announced in the blotter.
