Woman Sexually Assaulted Inside Harlem Subway Station, NYPD Searching for Suspect

NYPD detectives are seeking the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a 21-year-old woman inside a Manhattan subway station.

A 21-year-old woman was sexually assaulted Sunday evening inside the 125 Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue subway station in Harlem, according to the NYPD. The attack occurred at approximately 7:40 p.m. within the confines of the 26th Precinct and Transit District 3.

Investigators said the victim was inside the station with an unidentified man when the sexual assault took place. Additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been released.

Suspect Remains Unidentified

The NYPD is actively working to identify and locate the man wanted in connection with the assault. Crime Stoppers released information about the case and is asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the incident to contact investigators.

Police have not disclosed how the victim and suspect came into contact or whether they knew each other prior to the incident.

“Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Sex Crimes Hotline,” the department said in a public appeal.
