Community leaders, recovery advocates, and representatives from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the Cape Assist Wellness Center, a new facility designed to strengthen recovery resources throughout the county.

Key Partner in Hope One Initiative

The Cape Assist Wellness Center serves as an important partner in the county’s Hope One initiative, providing Certified Peer Recovery Specialists at outreach events across Cape May County.

Officials said those specialists help connect individuals and families with resources, treatment options, support services, and recovery pathways.

“Cape Assist Wellness Center serves as a valued partner in the Hope One initiative by providing Certified Peer Recovery Specialists at all Hope One outreach locations,” the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Expanding Access to Community Resources

According to officials, the new center offers free, non-clinical support services driven by peers with lived experience. The facility is designed to assist individuals and families facing substance use disorders and mental health challenges.

“The Cape Assist Wellness Center provides free, non-clinical, peer-driven support for individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health challenges,” the prosecutor’s office said.

Officials added that the new location expands access to critical services and strengthens the network of support available throughout the county.
