Woman shot dead in Portland

PORTLAND, OR – On Sunday, May 16, 2021, at 8:34 a.m., officers from the North Precinct responded to a report of a shooting in the 8000 block of North Newman Avenue. When officers arrived they located an adult female victim, who was deceased.

Homicide Detectives are responding. During the investigation, North Newman Avenue is closed between North Kilpatrick Street and Northeast Winchell Street.
