$1 decision adds $100K to Powerball prize in PA

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — A Pennsylvania Lottery player in Berks County won $150,000 in Saturday’s Powerball drawing after purchasing a ticket online and opting for the Power Play feature, lottery officials announced Monday.

The winning ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn — 4, 6, 9, 23, 59 — along with the red Powerball 25. The ticket’s base prize of $50,000 was tripled thanks to the $1 Power Play option and the 3x multiplier drawn that night.

The prize was awarded for the June 14 drawing. Online winnings are automatically added to the player’s account after claims are processed. The winner’s identity has not been disclosed, pending official ticket validation.

Without Power Play, the ticket would have been worth only one-third of the final payout.

More than 25,800 prizes awarded in same drawing

More than 25,800 other Pennsylvania Lottery players won prizes in the same drawing, including over 5,100 who had added Power Play and 2,600 who played with Double Play. All Powerball prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date.
