16-year-old busted for attempted murder in Baltimore

Teen charged with attempted murder in October Southeast Baltimore shooting

BALTIMORE, MD — A 16-year-old boy has been arrested and charged as an adult in connection with the shooting of a 24-year-old man in Southeast Baltimore that occurred more than two months ago, authorities confirmed.

The shooting happened around 10:49 p.m. on October 5 in the 400 block of North Ellwood Avenue. Police learned of the incident after the victim arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. The man’s injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

After weeks of investigation, Baltimore Police Warrant Apprehension detectives located and arrested the juvenile suspect on December 9 in the 100 block of Kane Street. He was taken into custody without incident.

The teen, whose name has not been released due to his age, has been charged as an adult with attempted first-degree murder. He was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility following his arrest.

The case remains under investigation.
