BALTIMORE, MD – A late-night trip down South Broadway turned violent in the early hours of Sunday when gunfire broke out just before 1:30 a.m., sending a young man and teenage girl to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

Central District officers responded to the 700 block of South Broadway at approximately 1:29 a.m. following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police found a 24-year-old male and a 17-year-old female suffering from gunshot injuries.

Medics were called to the scene and transported both victims to nearby hospitals. Their current conditions have not been disclosed, and their identities have not yet been released.

The area, known for its nightlife and dense foot traffic, was quickly cordoned off as investigators worked to piece together the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No arrests have been announced and no suspect information has been made public.
