$1M Closter ticket leads surge of big lottery wins across New Jersey
Trenton, NJ — A $1,000,000 Mega Millions ticket sold in Bergen County headlined a week of major lottery wins across New Jersey, with more than a dozen players cashing in prizes of $10,000 or more.
The top prize was sold at Garden State Dairy on Oakland Avenue in Closter for the April 14 drawing, according to the New Jersey Lottery.
Another major win followed in Middlesex County, where a Jersey Cash 5 ticket worth $1,459,039 was sold at Wegmans in Woodbridge on April 16.
Additional high-tier prizes included multiple $50,000 wins tied to Powerball drawings, along with several $20,000 and $10,000 scratch-off and draw game prizes across the state.
Winning locations spanned multiple counties, including Monmouth, Cumberland, Essex, Cape May, Union, and Bergen.
Among the listed wins:
- A $25,000 Crossword Bonanza ticket sold in Farmingdale
- $10,000 prizes claimed in Vineland, Springfield, Sea Isle City, and Mahwah
- $20,000 Crossword prizes sold in Newark, Lyndhurst, and Vineland
- A $50,000 Powerball-related win recorded in Orange
Officials said 12 players statewide won prizes of at least $10,000 during the April 13 through April 20 period.
