Man found dead inside Coney Island apartment building

NEW YORK, NY – An adult male was found dead inside a Coney Island Apartment building Thursday night. At this time, police are investigating the incident, and the NYC Medical Examiner’s Office is examining the man’s body to determine his cause of death.

Shortly after 5 pm, police officers with the 60th Precinct entered the Carey Gardens Apartment complex at 2832 West 23rd Street after receiving a 911 call regarding an unrepsonsive male.

Upon their arrival at the scene, responding officers discovered an unconscious and unresponsive unidentified male.

EMS also responded to the scene and pronounced him deceased.

The man’s identity was not released by police. Depending upon the results of the Medical Examiner’s autopsy, a criminal investigating could be launched.
