NEW YORK CITY – The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual involved in a grand larceny that occurred within Transit District 23, in the confines of the 106 Precinct. On Sunday, at approximately 1:00 am, a 24-year-old male victim was aboard the southbound “A” train at the Liberty Avenue and Rockaway Boulevard train station when an unidentified individual removed his wallet containing credit and debit cards.

The suspect later used the victim’s credit cards to make unauthorized purchases totaling $1227. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

The individual is described as a male with a beard, dark complexion, and a heavy build, approximately 25 to 30 years old, and around 5’10” tall. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, gray shirt, dark colored pants, and black and white sneakers. He was also carrying a black backpack.
