New York, New York – Police in the Bronx are investigating a violent armed robberies at a local business that took place on Thursday at around 11:15 am.
The incident occurred at 3276 Jerome Avenue and involved four male individuals who attempted to leave the store with unpaid merchandise.
When a 33-year-old male employee confronted one of the suspects, one of the individuals hurled a bottle at the employee.
The suspects then pushed both the 33-year-old employee and another 49-year-old male employee. The 33-year-old victim was repeatedly punched and placed in a chokehold while one of the assailants brandished a knife at him.
Before fleeing the scene in a white BMW towards Van Cortland Avenue East, the perpetrators caused damage to shelves and store merchandise.

The 33-year-old victim was transported to Montefiore Medical Center for treatment. He suffered a broken thumb, as well as bruises to his head and body. The 49-year-old victim sustained bruises to his body and head.
