Public’s Help Sought in Newark Armed Robbery Investigation

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects involved in an armed robbery on Sunday, May 14, 2023. At 11:26 pm, six male victims were playing dominoes in the 200 block of 3rd Street when two suspects approached them.

One suspect brandished a handgun, demanded money, and the other collected the victims’ belongings before fleeing. The public is urged to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) with any information.
