Broad daylight machete attack reported in Cypress Hills

NEW YORK CITY, NY – Police from the NYPD’s 75th Precinct are investigating a machete attack in Cypress Hills on Monday.

At approximately 6:00 pm, the NYPD said a 37-year-old female was standing in front of her residence on Ridgewood Avenue and Hemlock Street when two unknown individuals approached her.

A verbal dispute escalated, leading one of the individuals to brandish a machete and swing it towards the victim, who was able to flee to safety without injury.

The suspects, last seen on a two-wheeled vehicle, fled the location, traveling on Ridgewood Avenue towards Crescent Street.
