Murder Victim from Elizabeth Identified Three Years Later

ELIZABETH, NJ – Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel announced on Monday the identification of a homicide victim whose remains were discovered three years prior, on June 11, 2020, near the railroad tracks of the 300 block of Port Avenue in Elizabeth.

The victim was recently identified as 23-year-old Jasmine Featherstone of Elizabeth, originally from Middletown, Connecticut. Featherstone’s death had been ruled a homicide following an autopsy. The identification was achieved through DNA testing at Othram Labs and the investigative efforts of the detectives.
