FREEHOLD, NJ – A man from Middlesex County, Martin Klose, 64, of Woodbridge, has been arrested and charged with seeking a sexual encounter with an underage girl in exchange for money. Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago made the announcement on Thursday.

Klose is facing charges of second-degree Luring, second-degree Sexual Assault, and third-degree Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the MCPO Special Victims Bureau and High Tech Bureau, which revealed that Klose had attempted to arrange a sexual encounter with an individual he believed to be a 14-year-old girl through the internet.

He was taken into custody without incident earlier in the week.

Investigators are seeking more information about Klose’s activities, and anyone with relevant details is encouraged to contact Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Anthony Lacher at 800-533-7443.
