NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking to the public to help identify the location of a suspected individual involved in a homicide.
As part of the ongoing investigation, police have named 17-year-old Leopoldo Nash as the individual being sought. Nash, who has a dark complexion, was last seen running southbound on 20 Avenue towards 62 Street.
The murder occurred on Monday, July 17, around 1:03 pm, after a 911 call reporting a person shot in the vicinity of 6210 20 Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 15-year-old male, later identified as Foridun Maulonou, with a gunshot wound to his back.
Maulonou was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition, where he died from his injuries the following day.
As the investigation continues, the New York City Police Department asked anyone with information on Nash’s whereabouts to contact them.
