Woman Robbed at NYC Subway Metro Card Kiosk

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department has asked for public assistance to identify an individual suspected of grand larceny.

The incident occurred on Saturday, July 22.

At approximately 8:20 AM, a 25-year-old woman was engaged in buying a MetroCard at the 225 Street ‘2’ line train station.

During her transaction, an unidentified individual approached and reportedly removed her cell phone from her back pocket. The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The woman did not sustain any physical injuries from this incident.

The New York City Police Department asked anyone with relevant information to contact NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). For those who speak Spanish, they can call 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
