MTA Worker Threatened with Gun Inside Far Rockaway Station

FAR ROCKAWAY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying an individual involved in a menacing incident that occurred at the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue train station.

The incident took place on Monday, August 14, at approximately 10:48 p.m.

The victim, a 22-year-old on-duty MTA employee, was standing on the platform when an unknown male displayed a firearm in his direction before fleeing onto a northbound A train. No injuries were reported.

The individual is described as a male approximately 5’8″ tall and 160 pounds with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, gray shorts, and black slippers.

Members of the public with information are asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit their tips online at the CrimeStoppers website.
