Rockland County Democrat Leader Arrested for Election Fraud

MOUNT KISCO, NY – Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced that William Serratore, 59, and his son Carmelo Serratore, 24, both of Mount Kisco, New York, have been indicted and arrested on charges related to forgery. The charges stem from an investigation into forged primary election petitions in Mount Kisco.

Between March 6 and April 7, William Serratore is accused of forging signatures on three separate petitions for Tom Luzio’s Mayoral candidacy.

His son Carmelo is accused of similar actions on April 2. Both petitions were filed with the Westchester County Board of Elections.

William Serratore faces fifteen felony counts, including Forgery in the Second Degree. Carmelo Serratore is charged with four felony counts, including the same.

Both were arraigned on Tuesday, before the Honorable Robert A. Neary.
