Man Shot While Driving in Philadelphia Crashes Into Garage

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A 22-year-old man was fatally shot in Philadelphia’s Overbrook neighborhood, leading to a car crash early Thursday morning. The incident occurred behind a home on the 5600 block of Upland Way around 4:30 a.m.

Responding officers found the victim with gunshot wounds in a Jeep Grand Cherokee that had collided with a garage.

He was rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The vehicle displayed evidence of multiple gunshots, and shell casings from two different firearms were found, suggesting multiple shooters.

The family residing in the home was unharmed and unaware of the incident until informed by the police. No arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting remains unknown.
