Toms River Police Department School Resource Officers Recognized

TOMS RIVER, NJ — On February 16, Toms River Regional Schools celebrated National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day, continuing an annual tradition of recognizing the invaluable contributions of their school resource officers (SROs). The day was marked by tributes to officers across the district for their efforts in fostering a safe and welcoming environment within schools.

Among those celebrated were Officer Ciro at Joseph A. Citta Elementary School, Officers Chad and Jim at Beachwood Elementary, and Terry Crowley at Walnut Street Elementary.

According to district officials, their personalities, commitment to safety, and even their dance moves were highlighted as integral to establishing a positive school culture.

The Board of Education expressed its gratitude, emphasizing the crucial role these officers play in the success and security of Toms River Regional Schools.
