Gunshots, chase, and arrests follow evening shooting in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD — A 35-year-old man was hospitalized after a shooting in Southwest Baltimore Tuesday evening, with two suspects taken into custody following a police pursuit through city streets.

Officers respond after hearing gunfire during patrol

Southwest District officers were patrolling near 200 South Fulton Street when they heard gunshots from the next block. Responding immediately, they saw an unidentified male chasing another, who was later confirmed to be the 35-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition following treatment.

Suspects arrested after vehicle and foot pursuit

Police at the scene witnessed the shooter enter a vehicle and flee. Officers relayed the vehicle description and tag information, which led responding units to locate the suspects. The vehicle was abandoned in the 800 block of Boyd Street, where both suspects attempted to run but were apprehended shortly after.

A weapon was recovered, and two males were arrested. The investigation remains active as Southwest District detectives continue working the case.
