HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — Two dogs found at Riverfront Park have been taken in by the Hackettstown Police Department, which is now seeking help from the public in locating their owners.

According to a social media update posted less than an hour ago, the dogs were discovered with name tags identifying them as “Nik” and “Daisy.” However, police noted that while the tags included numbers, they were not valid phone numbers.

Anyone with information about the dogs or their owners is asked to contact the department at 908-852-3300.

No further details have been released about the dogs’ condition or how they were found.

Authorities are holding the dogs in a safe location while efforts to identify the owner continue.
