NYCHA employee arrested in Harlem on attempted burglary charges

HARLEM, N.Y. — A New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) employee was arrested by officers from the 26th Precinct on multiple charges related to attempted burglary and possession of stolen property, police said.

Julio Rodgriguez, 43, was taken into custody and charged with two counts each of attempted burglary in the third degree and attempted criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree.

The arrest took place in Harlem, though police have not yet released specific details regarding the time or location of the incidents.

Rodgriguez was identified by authorities as a NYCHA employee, though it is not immediately clear whether the alleged offenses occurred in connection with his job.
