WASHINGTON, DC — A shooting late Friday night on a Southeast DC street left two young males dead and a third critically injured, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 10:19 p.m. to the 4200 block of 4th Street, Southeast, after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found three male victims lying in the roadway, each suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency responders from DC Fire and EMS arrived on scene but were unable to save two of the victims. Sixteen-year-old Royell Walker and 19-year-old Jamar Jackson, both of Southeast DC, were pronounced dead at the scene. A third victim, a 14-year-old male, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators confirmed the case is being handled by MPD’s Major Case Squad. No arrests have been made and no suspect information has been released.
