$30K Mega Millions ticket sold in Prince George’s County

A Mega Millions ticket sold at a Seat Pleasant gas station turned into a $30,000 winner ahead of Friday night’s massive jackpot drawing.

SEAT PLEASANT, MD — A Mega Millions player in Prince George’s County is holding a $30,000 winning ticket after matching enough numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing, while the game’s jackpot has climbed to an estimated $672 million.

According to the Maryland Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at the Seat Pleasant BP, located at 5818 Martin Luther King Jr. Highway in Seat Pleasant.

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, July 14, drawing were 2, 4, 10, 48 and 56, with Mega Ball 22.

Lottery officials said the ticket matched four of the first five numbers and the Mega Ball to win the game’s third-tier prize. The base prize of $10,000 was automatically tripled to $30,000 because the ticket included a Megaplier with a 3X multiplier.

No ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, allowing the top prize to grow to an estimated $672 million annuity, with an estimated cash option of $293.3 million for Friday night’s drawing.

The Maryland Lottery said Mega Millions players in the state have won more than $4.6 million in prizes since the jackpot was last hit on March 17. That total includes the $30,000 winning ticket sold in Seat Pleasant and seven $20,000 winning tickets.

Officials also said two $20,000 Mega Millions prizes remain unclaimed. One ticket was sold on Saturday, June 7, at Xtra Fuel, 8721 Baltimore Avenue in College Park. The other was sold on Monday, June 23, at the 7-Eleven located at 20211 Goshen Road in Gaithersburg.

Mega Millions tickets expire 182 days after the drawing. Winners of prizes exceeding $25,000 must claim their winnings through Maryland Lottery headquarters.
