May 24, 2024

CHURCHILL, PA—A Wilkinsburg woman, Tiffany Reese, 45, has been charged by County Police following a fatal car crash on Beulah Road in Churchill, which occurred on April 30, 2023. The accident resulted in the death of 62-year-old passenger Charmaine Sewell and minor injuries to two other passengers.

According to the Allegheny County Police Department, the crash involved a single vehicle rollover due to Reese’s high-speed driving in adverse weather conditions. An investigation led by the department’s Homicide and Collision Reconstruction Units revealed that Reese had a blood alcohol content of .16% at the time of the incident, twice the legal limit, and was also driving without a valid license.

Reese faces several charges, including homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, driving under the influence of alcohol, and driving without a license. She surrendered to authorities on May 20 and is currently held in the Allegheny County Jail.
