Arrest Made in Connection to Woodbridge Robbery Case

WOODBRIDGE, VA – The Prince William County Police Department reported an arrest connected to a recent robbery incident. On Thursday morning, police officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a fire lane on the 2200 block of Oberlin Drive in Woodbridge.

Upon investigation, the occupant of the vehicle, Maazen Imran Butt, provided false identification to the officers and was found to be intoxicated and in possession of suspected schedule I/II drugs. Further inquiry confirmed that Butt was the suspect sought for a robbery that took place on May 20 in the 1700 block of Featherstone Road.

Following the discovery, Butt was arrested and is currently facing charges related to attempted malicious wounding, robbery, and drug possession. The police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding both the robbery and the events leading to Butt’s arrest.
