June 4, 2024

DORCHESTER, MA — Boston Police apprehended a 16-year-old male late Sunday evening for unlawful possession of ammunition during a large house party in Dorchester. The incident occurred around 9:00 PM at 72 Wildwood St., where officers responded to a 911 emergency call reporting a person armed with a gun.

Upon arrival, Boston Police from District B-3 (Mattapan/Dorchester) discovered a bustling party with an estimated 100-150 attendees. Officers were briefed with a description of a suspect described as a black male in his late teens, dressed entirely in black and wearing a black face mask, suspected of carrying a firearm.

After a thorough search among the party-goers, police identified and approached a young individual fitting the suspect’s description. An investigation ensued, leading to the discovery of a loaded 9mm Lugar magazine containing 10 rounds in the suspect’s fanny pack.

The teenager was arrested and faces charges of unlawful possession of ammunition. He is scheduled for arraignment in Boston Juvenile Court.
