Cumberland Man Charged for Assault

The Cumberland City Police have arrested 40-year-old Timothy Dwight Bickling of Cumberland, MD, following an assault incident. Bickling was apprehended on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, under an active arrest warrant relating to events on June 17th.

Police initially responded to a call at a residence on the 200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, where they found a victim with multiple injuries. Through further investigation and statements, Bickling was identified as the suspect.

Charges were filed, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant by the Allegany County District Court Commissioner. Following his initial court appearance, Bickling was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center and is being held without bond. He faces charges including two counts of second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
