Fatal Motorcycle Crash Under Investigation in Frederica

FREDERICA, DE – A tragic incident occurred on Bay Road in Frederica as a motorcycle crash resulted in the death of a 36-year-old man from Felton, Delaware. The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the crash, which took place on Friday, July 27, at approximately 2:41 PM.

According to preliminary findings, the man was riding a Kawasaki ZR1 motorcycle southbound towards Frederica Road when he failed to successfully navigate a curve at exit 86. The motorcycle’s high speed contributed to the driver losing control and being ejected from the vehicle.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his name, pending family notification. Following the accident,

Frederica Road was closed for about two and a half hours to allow for thorough investigation and clearing of the accident site.
