Clinton, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Monday. The deceased driver has been identified as 79-year-old Kenneth Moore of Temple Hills.

The incident took place on August 5 at approximately 12:30 p.m. Officers responded to the 6300 block of Coventry Way, where a collision involving four vehicles was reported. Moore was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The other involved vehicles were parked and unoccupied, and no other injuries were reported.

Preliminary investigations indicate Moore was driving slowly in a parking lot when his vehicle suddenly accelerated and turned abruptly, crossing Coventry Way and crashing into the parked vehicles. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
