NYC Cop Arrested for Harassment and Stalking

NEW YORK, NY—An off-duty police officer from New York City was arrested on Tuesday evening for aggravated harassment and stalking.

Zeidyyeh Zaid, 25, faces charges of aggravated harassment in the second degree and stalking in the fourth degree. The arrest occurred within the confines of the 83rd Precinct.

Zaid, a white male with badge number 9791, has been a member of the NYPD since April 2022 and currently serves at Police Service Area 3.

Despite being a relatively recent addition to the force, starting his service in December 2022, he has maintained a clean record until now. In the previous year, Zaid earned a salary of $49,400, according to his tax records.

The time of the arrest was 8:05 PM on Tuesday, August 6.
