BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 66-year-old woman was found dead in her Brooklyn home on Tuesday afternoon, prompting an ongoing investigation by the New York City Police Department.
Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 3:16 p.m. on August 20, 2024, at 1070 East 56th Street, within the confines of the 63rd Precinct. Upon arrival, officers discovered Claudette Jones, 66, unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds to her body.
Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene and pronounced Jones deceased. Authorities have not made any arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
The NYPD has not released further details at this time.
