Three charged in Secaucus narcotics investigation

SECAUCUS, N.J. — Three individuals have been charged following a narcotics investigation in Secaucus that resulted in the recovery of over 150 grams of cocaine and approximately 20 grams of MDMA. The charges were announced by Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.

Nelson Villegas-Rios, 33, of Lyndhurst, and Sebastian Ospina Osorio, 34, of New York, were arrested on August 7, 2024, on Plaza Drive in Secaucus. Villegas-Rios faces multiple charges, including distribution of cocaine and MDMA, conspiracy to distribute cocaine, and possession with intent to distribute. Osorio has been charged with distribution of cocaine, conspiracy to distribute cocaine, and possession with intent to distribute both cocaine and MDMA.

In a separate arrest on September 3, 2024, at John F. Kennedy International Airport, Port Authority police apprehended Larry Brito Marin, 27, of Lodi. Marin faces charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and distribution of cocaine.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force led the investigation, which remains ongoing.
