OLNEY, MD – A Maryland Lottery player in Olney is set to collect $1,000 a week for life after purchasing a second-tier Cash4Life ticket on October 9. The ticket was bought at the 7-Eleven located at 18120 Georgia Avenue.

The player matched the first five numbers drawn, which were 7, 12, 21, 44, and 47, but did not match the Cash Ball, which was 3. The winner has 182 days from the drawing to claim the prize. The 7-Eleven in Montgomery County will receive a bonus of $2,500 for selling the winning ticket.

The winner can choose between an annuity of $1,000 a week for life, totaling $52,000 a year, or a one-time payment of $1 million before taxes. This is the second occurrence in 2024 where a Maryland Lottery player has matched all but the Cash Ball for a $1,000-a-week-for-life prize, marking the 10th instance since the game was introduced in the state in 2016.

In addition to this big win, a total of 4,022 other winning Cash4Life tickets were sold in Maryland for the October 9 drawing, with prizes ranging from $2 to $100. All winners have 182 days to claim their prizes, and lottery officials advise them to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and keep them secure.
