NEW ORLEANS, LA — Authorities have revealed that an ISIS flag was found inside the truck driven by Samshud Din Jabbar, 42, a suspect in a high-profile investigation in New Orleans. Jabbar was armed with a Glock pistol and a stolen .308 rifle from New Jersey, equipped with either optics or a suppressor, police said.

The New Orleans Police Department is also searching for four to five additional suspects believed to have been involved in the incident. The identities of the other individuals have not yet been released, and police are working to determine their roles in the case.

The presence of the ISIS flag has raised questions about potential motives, though law enforcement has not yet classified the case as an act of terrorism. Investigators are continuing to gather evidence and assess the situation.

On-scene, photos showed a flag on the truck’s tailgate covered. It is not known if that was the ISIS flag or if the ISIS flag was found inside the vehicle. The truck was reported to have cross the U.S. southern border with Mexico in November, but the driver in the attack was not the exact driver who brought the vehicle into the country.

The NOPD has urged anyone with information about the case to come forward as the investigation remains ongoing.
