Gunman sought in armed robbery on Georgia Avenue

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A suspect is on the run after committing an armed robbery Wednesday night at a business in the 3500 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest, according to police.

At approximately 10:15 p.m. on January 1, the suspect entered the establishment, brandished a handgun, and demanded property from an employee. The employee complied, and the suspect fled the scene.

The incident was captured on a nearby surveillance camera, and police have released video footage in hopes of identifying the suspect. The video can be viewed at https://youtu.be/DaAVUalKdFU.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or text tips anonymously to 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
