GREENBELT, MD — A lucky lottery player from Prince George’s County is celebrating his second $50,000 scratch-off win in less than two months.
The Greenbelt resident, who previously won $50,000 on the 20X The Cash scratch-off, returned to Maryland Lottery headquarters to claim another top prize—this time on the Lots of Cash game. The winner purchased both tickets at Like on TV, a retailer on Greenbelt Road, which will receive a $500 bonus for selling the latest winning ticket.
The winner, a subcontractor, said he was at home with his wife when he scratched the ticket and saw his number match for the $50,000 prize. He plans to use the money to pay bills and even hinted at another win, joking that he might return next month.
The Lots of Cash game, launched in June 2024, still has three remaining $50,000 top prizes, along with additional prizes ranging from $5 to $5,000.
