Wilkes-Barre woman finds burglar sitting in her bathtub, suspect flees

Wilkes-Barre, PA – Police officers responded to a burglary report on South Meade Street on March 14th, 2025, at 5:22 AM. A suspect was found inside the residence.

According to the details provided, the victim, a 41-year-old woman from Wilkes-Barre, reported that she found a light illuminating her bathtub. Upon pulling back the shower curtain, she discovered the suspect seated inside.

The suspect, described as a black male with an unknown age, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, and weighing 200 pounds, fled the scene. While leaving, he yelled, “don’t call the Police,” before exiting through the rear door.

The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
