Three men robbed a 53-year-old man at gunpoint near Yankee Stadium on Friday morning, stealing a bag containing $12,500 in cash before fleeing the scene in a white Lexus, according to police.
The robbery occurred just after 11 a.m. near Gerard Avenue and East 157th Street in the Bronx. The victim was getting out of his vehicle when he was approached by three men. One displayed what appeared to be a black firearm while the others seized the bag, police said.
The suspects then jumped into a white Lexus and drove westbound on East 157th Street toward River Avenue. The victim was not physically harmed during the incident.
Photos of the suspects were released by the NYPD on Sunday. All three are described as Hispanic men in their late 20s, standing between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall.
The incident took place approximately two blocks from Yankee Stadium in the 44th Precinct.
