$200K Powerball ticket sold at Pennsylvania 7-Eleven

MIDDLETOWN, PA — A Powerball with Power Play ticket worth $200,000 was sold at a 7-Eleven in Union County for the June 9 drawing, Pennsylvania Lottery officials confirmed Tuesday.

The ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn — 30, 33, 40, 43, 52 — and the red Powerball number 25. Because the ticket included the $1 Power Play option, the prize was multiplied by four, raising the payout from $50,000 to $200,000 before taxes.

The winning ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven located at 2114 Old Turnpike Road in East Buffalo Township. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the ticket.

The winner has not yet come forward, and Lottery officials reminded players to sign the back of their tickets and check all numbers carefully. Powerball prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date. Winnings from online tickets are automatically credited to the player’s Lottery account after processing.

In the same drawing, more than 16,000 other Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes, including over 3,200 with Power Play and more than 2,200 with Double Play.

Power Play boosts local ticket to six-figure payout

The Powerball jackpot has now reset to an estimated annuity value of $65 million, or $29.2 million as a lump-sum cash option, for the next drawing scheduled Wednesday.

Powerball tickets can be purchased in-store or online. The Pennsylvania Lottery advises players to visit its website for instructions on how to claim winnings or to find the nearest retailer.

The identity of the $200,000 winner will be released once the prize is officially claimed and verified by Lottery officials.
