MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — A 52-year-old man from Frederick was killed late Friday night after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Columbia Pike in the Calverton area, Montgomery County police said.
The incident occurred just after 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Columbia Pike and Tech Road. Yaovi Magloire Guedoh was crossing the road when he was hit by a 2020 GMC Terrain. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but Guedoh was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the location and cooperated with investigators. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
