HAMILTON, OH — A Hamilton player has claimed a $50,000 prize from the Ohio Lottery’s $1,000,000 Cashword scratch-off game, lottery officials announced.
The winning ticket was purchased at Dixie Marathon, located at 2693 Dixie Highway. After federal and state taxes totaling 28 percent, the player will receive $36,000.
$1,000,000 Cashword is a $20 scratch-off offering a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years. As of July 24, one top prize remains unclaimed.
Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education statewide.
