South Bay sting operation snares alleged sex buyers and traffickers

Nine arrested in Boston sting targeting sexual exploitation near South Bay Mall

BOSTON, MA – Nine suspects were arrested during a multi-agency operation aimed at curbing sexual exploitation in the Massachusetts Avenue area near the South Bay Mall, police said.

The July 24 operation involved Boston Police Human Trafficking and Internet Crimes Against Children units, the Massachusetts State Police Special Services Section – High Risk Victims Squad, and the FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force. Undercover officers were deployed to identify exploiters, traffickers, and sex buyers.

Those arrested include: Mohamed Djadoune, 30, of Boston; Sah Kumar Raj, 33, of Boston; Jason Vinci, 39, of Medford; Jose Luis Pinedu Colocho, 47, of Dorchester; Pradeep Mishra, 36, of Shrewsbury; Frederick Williams, 68, of Boston; Juan Jose Galdamez Surio, 24, of Shrewsbury; Konstantinos Mamanidis, 62, of Dedham; and Roberta Pena, 27, of Boston.

Charges include sex for a fee, enticement of a minor, shoplifting, and trespassing. All suspects are expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
